You have things to say, songs to sing, music to play…we got you! Joining the Emporia First Friday Art Walk with this fun stop on your walking passport. February 24 Matt Cox & The Marauders


Over the last 25 years, singer/songwriter, and Shenandoah, Iowa, native Matt Cox has been writing songs, recording, and performing at venues all across the United States while developing his signature road-worn vocal, guitar, and harmonica style. With a song catalog consisting of more than ten full-length studio albums, Cox blends the traditions of classic country, folk, rock, rhythm and blues, both as a solo artist, and with an ever-changing lineup of the area’s top talent known as The Marauders. Now residing in Omaha, Nebraska, Cox is a nine-time Omaha Entertainment and Arts Award winner for Album Of The Year, High Places (2018), Best Country/Folk/Americana (2009-2014, 2021, 2022), and Best Blues (2008). Since the start of his career, he has shared the stage with dozens of well-known artists including David Alan Coe, Elizabeth Cook, Son Volt, Drive-by Truckers, Greg Brown, and Willie Nelson.

It’s a party and unless you’ve been under a rock for the past decade, you know, Emporia’s own Brickhorse brings the Halloween party to BC Nation. Spooky jello-o shots, spooky bartenders, spooky season done right. We suggest arriving a wee bit early on this night. Spooky season ends at Bourbon Cowboy.

November 11 Marc Baker & Untamed Country


Marc is a regular on the BC stage and maybe no other band makes such a personal connection as Marc. Spend the evening downtown celebrating our Veterans with the ESU SVA Honor Crawl then polish off the night small town country style. 18+ always welcome. Doors at 6pm, show at 10pm.

December 16 Stolen Winnebagos


The Stolen Winnebagos are a trio based out of Kansas City. With over of decade of experience playing together, they have entertained people at venues ranging from dive bars to amphitheaters. Over the years they have tried to differentiate themselves from the “typical” cover band experience by playing songs not normally done by cover bands, yet remaining upbeat and fun. Their diverse catalog includes a wide variety of songs from the 1950’s until today. It is not uncommon to hear classic rock, new wave, grunge, hip hop, punk, alternative, classic county, and modern rock in a single set of The Stolen Winnebagos. You never really know what to expect with this band….except that you will have a great time! Doors at 6pm, Show at 10pm

Johnny Woods is an American country music singer and songwriter hailing Yukon, Ok.
