June 1 Dustin Arbuckle & The Damnations
We love this guy. He’s an Emporia favorite and now you can experience the Unbound bike race finish line, also an Emporia fav along with a night of Dustin Arbuckle. Summer is looking pretty good. Dustin brings a progressive roots sound with some wicked good harmonica playing. Doors, well probably earlier than usual, show at 9pm – also earlier than usual. No cover, all ages welcome. May 4 Michael B Tipton Band
This will be a wild one. Head downtown for the Cinco de Mayo festival beginning at 11am and follow that up with the Dynamic Discs Open block party at 5pm oh wait… you’re not done yet, Michael B Tipton takes the stage at 10pm. So, you can see, there’s no room for a nap. Some days you just have to put your head down and power through. The best way to make solid memories with friends you’ll never forget. Over the last 25 years, singer/songwriter, and Shenandoah, Iowa, native Matt Cox has been writing songs, recording, and performing at venues all across the United States while developing his signature road-worn vocal, guitar, and harmonica style. With a song catalog consisting of more than ten full-length studio albums, Cox blends the traditions of classic country, folk, rock, rhythm and blues, both as a solo artist, and with an ever-changing lineup of the area’s top talent known as The Marauders. Now residing in Omaha, Nebraska, Cox is a nine-time Omaha Entertainment and Arts Award winner for Album Of The Year, High Places (2018), Best Country/Folk/Americana (2009-2014, 2021, 2022), and Best Blues (2008). Since the start of his career, he has shared the stage with dozens of well-known artists including David Alan Coe, Elizabeth Cook, Son Volt, Drive-by Truckers, Greg Brown, and Willie Nelson.
